Volunteering: Make a Difference

Volunteers play an important role at OneEighty and help us accomplish our mission of helping people change direction. Volunteers impact our community by building social networks and raising awareness for an organization. Volunteering can also better you as an individual.

People who volunteer their time and money often have lower mortality rates, greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life.

The physical and social activity of service helps individuals connect to their own community and neighborhood in a meaningful way. Plus those same volunteer efforts can be a powerful catalyst towards improving one’s overall health.

OneEighty treats and helps individuals in Wayne County and Holmes County who are victims of sexual assault, are overcoming substance use disorders, and other sensitive issues.

Therefore, we treat our volunteers like employees as our volunteer positions range from no contact with clients to direct interaction with them.

If you wish to volunteer with OneEighty, we request you first complete an application.

After we have received your application, we conduct interviews and check background references. We also ask our volunteers to complete required training sessions and our volunteers are subject to drug testing. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions about volunteering with OneEighty.
