We believe that it’s important to never underestimate the power of community. According to the Foundations Recovery Network, addiction, abuse and mental illness can all make people feel isolated. A strong community and support network can help to change that. This is why our Community Health & Wellness Department works by building coalitions within the community. Volunteers work within these coalitions for youth substance abuse prevention. We currently have the CIRCLE Coalition, Turning Point Coalition, RITTMAN S.A.L.T Coalition, and the CHIPPEWA CARES Coalition. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about being involved in a community coalition, please contact Community Health & Wellness at 330-264-8498 or email@example.com.
Another piece of the puzzle to healthy living is our effort for community education. OneEighty currently partners with the school systems in Wayne County and Holmes County to reach thousands of students in this diverse area. Our community education programs provide awareness and education about the following topics: Current Drugs of Choice, Drug Use, Abuse & Dependency, Signs & Symptoms of Drug Use, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, How to Talk to Your Kids About Drugs, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Bullying, Cyber-Bullying, Sexual Harassment, Dating Violence and Healthy Relationships to raise community awareness and open a dialogue regarding these issues.
