10th Annual Break the Cycle: August 29th, 2020

Break the Cycle celebrates recovery and promotes wellness with three bike routes and a 5K walk. The bike ride consists of either a 24-, 50- or 70-miles ride through the scenic countryside of Wayne and Holmes counties. Each route varies in elevation and level of fitness.  Participants can also partake in a casual 5K walk through historic downtown Wooster and visit OneEighty's Main Office and Recovery Club. The event is center around the mission to reduce the stigma surrounding the issues of substance abuse and addiction and to support the treatment/prevention services offered at OneEighty.

This event is SAG Supported and will have multiple rest stops available with restrooms and refreshments available to participants. All volunteers at the aid stations, driving for SAG or at the fairgrounds will be wearing a mask and gloves.

All participants participating at the fairgrounds will enjoy a free lunch after their event .This year's lunch will be catered by Buckeye Deli.

Our menu will be:
*Servers are trained food service workers and will be gloved and masked for the event*.  
Pulled Pork and sandwich buns or Creamed Chicken Sandwich
Cheesy Potatoes 
Baked Beans
Salad: Sheet Pans of Salad with Dressing  
Beverage:   Cans of Coke Products 
Includes: Silverware, Plates, Napkins, Coolers and ice.   

RIDE ON will be on-site the day of the event to help with any maintenance issues a cyclist may have with their bike.

Cost for the bike ride or 5K Walk: In-person $35  Virtual $30

OneEighty and THE Risers will follow all guidelines by the state of Ohio to have a safe and healthy ride and walk.  Staggered start times may need to be implemented. We will notify all participants a week prior to the event if there are any changes to the start times listed below. All volunteers at the aid stations, driving for SAG or at the fairgrounds will be wearing mask and gloves. 

All events begin and end at the Fairgrounds. 

Check-in: 6:30am-9am

8am:                    70 mile Bike Ride

8:15am:               50 Mile Bike Ride

8:30 am:              24 Mile Bike Ride

9:00am:                5K Walk 

Recovery is not a race, it is a ride.
